THE SINGLES MINISTRY OF BACON HEIGHTS BAPTIST CHURCH ________________________________________________________________ Cross His Line is more than the sum of its parts; It is a Single's Sunday School class with a sense of community and a heart for missions. With accountability, we help one another reach the goal that the Holy Spirit has set for us. At Bacon Heights, You Never Stand Alone. ________________________________________________________________
Mission Statement
SEEKING YOU for a LTR. I enjoy small group discussions, singing praise music and reading God’s Word. I comfort the helpless, feed the hungry and heal the lame. I am a good listener, patient and forever faithful -- no matter what. I'm a big picture person...Call my name...24/7. See John 3:16 and let's talk.
Love,
JC33
With grateful hearts, we want to acknowledge Barry & Stacy Tidrow. We've been blessed by the Tidrow's vision, devotion and tireless effort in founding CROSS HIS LINE in 2009.
Our teachers are Mike & Susie Harendt and Angela Hadley.
High On the Hog...
BACON HEIGHTS! The mighty Bacon Heights Singles coalition trekked in late March to Sipapoo National Park in the beautiful mountains of New Mexico for an extended weekend of life away from life; it gifted us with a renewed sense of God's presence and helped us to redefine our commitment to be Christ-like.
.
Our infamous hosts, mentors, chefs and chaperones (hardy har har) Mike and Susie Harendt treated us to a delightful weekend at Poor Farmer's Cabin which has been in their family since before dirt.
.
"What Happens at the Cabin, Stays at the Cabin" was our theme for the weekend. OK. . .OK...jk! I guess we COULD share with you...we were hanging out by the fire, wolfing down the most amazing food...(Praise God for Susie's Spiritual Gift of FOOD-ING us).
.
It also felt great to laugh together a little too loud...and get to know each other much better (maybe a little TMI, Heather?) through the game Imaginiff (thanks, April). A few of us broke out a set of dominoes and played Forty-Two into the wee hours of the morning...
.
A bunch of us panhandled in the great City of Taos...where Kathy purchased a delightful turquoise bracelet which lasted about as long as a slurpee. We all spent a lotta time at the Walmart (coming and going) in Las Vegas lookin' for keys and buying defective fishing poles, right Michael?
.
Let's see...what else? Well, we dvded "DESPICABLE ME" and "TOY STORY 3" not to mention viewed "Wild Hogs" as we rode in the van. (That's us...just wild hogs...high on the hog...from Bacon Heights!)
.
Wish all of you guys could have been with us...but stay tuned for a plethora (Joey's Word of the Day) of events that will be so diverse that anyone and everyone will have the chance to participate come rain or shine...
